In September 2021, after self-identifying as Autistic since 2016, Ellie sought a clinical diagnosis of Autism. After becoming an active member of the online autistic community, Ellie realised that she may also have ADHD and sought a clinical diagnosis in 2023.
Self-identifying, and then later receiving clinical diagnoses of Autism and ADHD, provided me with information about how my brain works. It has supported my confidence, my ability to understand my brain, and made me feel more empowered and able to self advocate!

In 2023 Ellie Pettigrew and Hat Richardson launched the NeuroTalk Podcast!
Both Ellie and Hat are AuDHD Speech and Language Therapists. They are passionate about neuro-affirming practice and love to learn more, share their knowledge and experiences, and generally have a good old info dump. They would send each other lengthy voice notes where they would discuss different topics, experiences and terminology. Ellie and Hat would joke about turning their info dumps into a podcast...and that is exactly what happened!
